Race Report from Josh who took part in a Climbduro event on July 13th:

“I competed in my first Grand Climbduro event this weekend held in West Bragg Creek. Conditions and weather were excellent as we began with a controlled start out of Bragg Creek. The timed part of the race began at Station Flats and quickly took us up two solid climbs. The 1,150 meters of climbing was achieved within 15 KM of the 50 KM race. The field of 65 racers was very strong and competitive. Many were on gravel bikes or hard tail mountain bikes. I chose my full suspension mountain bike to fully enjoy the untimed downhill sections that are well deserved after the climbs.

This was a very well organized event with cash and prizes for the winners. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have added it to my annual race list.”
