35’ of warm-up + main-set 1 (total of 1,500m) 25’ of “pick-a-card” fun!

You can try this on your own too!
First define each suit - ex:

♣️ = Fins ❤️= Hard Swim

♠️ = Pull ♦️= Triathlon Skills

I used cards of all suits up to 6 (so max distance 6 lengths (150m) and the jokers. Pull a card and do what it says.

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ Looking for a simple set to knock out 2 or 3k? This one’s for you!

Take 20s rest after the 200, 40s after the 400, 1 min after the 600 to break up this endurance swim just enough to make it fly by!

What pace? You decide!
If you’re just getting used to reaching 2k, take it easy and focus on holding good technique start to finish.

If you’re a stronger swimmer, you can try to build your pace during each interval.

If you know your CSS pace, set a tempo trainer in mode 2 to your 100m CSS pace +2 or 3 seconds and see if you can stay ahead of the beep each 100 the entire 2 or 3k.

Are you just getting back into the pool and looking for a simple swim session❓

Here’s one for you ‼️

💦 I personally am just getting back in the water after a very long break from any type of swim training. I try to keep things short & sweet while developing a swim training routine. I like this main-set because it will be easy to monitor my progress over time given its simplicity.

👉 Adaptations over time - shorten rest from 30s to 20 to 10 and try to hold same average pace. Or, increase intervals from 100m to 150 to 200…to 500 etc to build endurance.
