Join us Saturday May 18th for a triathlon skills training clinic. This all ability six hour clinic will kickstart your outdoor training and help prepare you for race season.
Road Ready?
Nervous about making the transition from indoor trainer to outdoor riding? Our camp will start off with some bike handling skills and a safety review. This will ensure that you, and your bike, are ready to hit the road.
Transition time!
We will cover the step by step process of going from swim to bike and bike to run. You will learn how to set up a tidy transition area and we will discuss the rules around the mount and dismount lines.
After an hour group ride we will practice a quick transition to a 30 minute brick run or walk.
Triathlon Q & A discussion
Clinic includes a Q & A session with Coach Mary to cover any questions you have around training / racing / gear etc. When you register be sure to tell us what topics you want to discuss.
Swimming Skills
Finally, we will hit the pool for some swim skills including how to stay calm at the start of a race, especially in open water. We will practice swimming close to others, mass starts, sighting, and drafting.
Are you nervous about swimming in your wetsuit? Bring it along and we will show you how to put it on properly and you can practice swimming in it for some or all of the swim session.
